Come hang out with Chris Salomone, Shaun Boyd, Johnson and Dolores in this behind the scenes look at the Foureyes Furniture woodshop. • In this video of WTTW (Welcome to the Woodshop), Chris Salomone and Shaun Boyd put the finishing touches on the design of a solid hardwood walnut office desk with a cabinet. Shaun and Chris move the hardwood cabinet in SketchUp until they find the right spot. They then calculate how much of the expensive wood they will need in 8/4, 6/4 sizes. The next day they receive the shipment of costly wood and unload the wood into the woodshop. The price of the lumber is discussed. Are the prices about the same pre-pandemic? Or is the hardwood still overpriced? At the end of the video, Chris and Shaun look over the walnut wood and decide what boards and at what length they want them to be.
