Here’s a short video showing our pneumatic ‘Digital’ timer. Unlike other versions of pneumatic timers, pneumatic ‘Digital’ timers retain their last count value upon loss of air; this is particularly useful for machine servicing, for example, the periodic changing of filters, lubrication of components, changing of tooling, or simply the cleaning of equipment to ensure optimum machine performance - the timer can stop the machine from operating until the timed service requirement has taken place. Hand-arm vibration at work laws, to prevent or protect where harm could otherwise be caused by the overuse of such pneumatic vibrating equipment are also good examples of pneumatic ‘Digital’ timer use. • Upon application of compressed air, pneumatic pulses (seconds or minutes) are generated which are registered on a 2 line display of either 3 or 5 digits, the upper row of digits displays elapsed time whilst the lower row shows the preset time. When the preset time is reached the normally closed internal valve opens and a continuous pneumatic output is given (Standard version only), reset is by means of a pneumatic pulse to port Y. • There are two 5 digit models within the pneumatic ‘Digital’ timer range which offer a pulsed output signal duration of 300 – 340 milliseconds upon timeout, they automatically reset and continue to time, there is no pneumatic reset port for this version. • • Timer data sheets can be found by clicking here: http://www.thetimerandcountercompany.... • Visit us: http://www.impulseautomation.co.uk
