Here is a DIY way to fix the cracked plastic on your Yakima roof rack bars. All you need is some shrink wrap tubing [Electriduct 1.25 Heat Shrink Tubing 2:1 Shrinkable Tube Cable Sleeve - 25 Feet (Black)] • https://www.amazon.com/1-25-Heat-Shri... • I have had this on one bar for over a month and it seems to be holding up well. Fairly quick fix...took longer to get the bars off my truck. Hope this helps and saves someone a few bucks and prevents a little waste.
