Brainpower, born Gert-Jan Mulder on February 5, 1975, in Antwerp, Belgium, is a Dutch rapper, songwriter, and producer who grew up in the Netherlands. He is one of the pioneers of Dutch hip-hop and has made a significant impact on the music scene in the Netherlands and Belgium. Known for his versatile flow, clever wordplay, and introspective lyrics, Brainpower has gained recognition as one of the most skilled lyricists in the Dutch language. • He began his music career in the late 1990s and gained national fame with his debut album, Door Merg en Brain (2001), which included the hit singles Je Moest Waarschijnlijk Gaan and Dansplaat.
