In 1958, director Satyajit Ray attended the Robert Flaherty Film Seminar, on the occasion of the U.S. release of PATHER PANCHALI. Ray had by then completed APARAJITO and THE PHILOSOPHER’S STONE, and THE MUSIC ROOM would soon premiere.
