In Imphal, Manipur, IGP Intelligence K. Kabib reported escalating violence amid widespread protests over the past 24 hours. In Kakwa Bazar, protesters reportedly used firearms, and in Uripok, petrol bombs were deployed. Over 10 police officers, including one VDF member, were injured, and tear gas was used to disperse crowds, resulting in further injuries. Kabib highlighted that some protesters were from outside the area, and appealed to locals to maintain peace, law and order.
