About Color symbolism. This movie is the first colored film in the world. Shooted in 1902. In the first years of cinema, shooting colorized film was very hard. So cinematographers were coloring every moment of the uncolored pictures they took by just hand. They started trying to pick the colors conscious and give them symbolic meanings in those years. Why? Because this colour is symbolizing madness and frenzy except lots of meanings. Mental poisoning situation. I don't know why it means like that. Maybe our universal culture giving us Oh attention! message because some toxic metals like chrome, lead, cadmium contain yellow pigments. And I want you to remember that our body throws away the toxic wastes with a liquit in this color. • In the world of movies, the colours can show you a transformation. In the Wizard of Oz movie, Dorothy's world is uncolored and pale but the world that she visits is very colorful. In the movie caming after lots of years after this movie, Sin City, specially picked colours in black and white world are being friend with us. Spielberg used a technic like this, but for once in 3 hour movie. He shows us red dressed girl.
