This video is a quick-start tutorial on how to get RetroArch up and running with some of your favorite old-school games (roms) on your PC. RetroArch is an extremely convenient program that compiles just about every popular emulator (or core) into one organized head-end where you can access all of your roms. In this video I will be using the NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) and the PSX (Playstation 1) as examples for systems that will be emulated. I show you how to install RetroArch, download the cores you need, add BIOS files if they are necessary, create playlists for your roms, update the boxart, set core associations, and access the in-game menu (plus some other little tricks along the way). • Even though there are other similar guides on YouTube, I have my own way of doing things that might make this process a little easier for you, not to mention an updated explanation is always useful. This video ended up being a bit longer than I wanted, but there is a lot of important info so just be sure to use the timestamps if you want to skip around. Keep an eye out for more informational videos on RetroArch in the coming days, I plan to address how to add missing thumbnails when the automatic updater won't work and how to handle multi-disc games (like FF7 and Resident Evil 2).
