The town has plenty of hotels, hostels and B B's to suit all budgets. If you do have a car consider that the town does not have great parking facilities so pick a hotel that has a secure carpark if you can. • Food and Drink in San Pedro can be more expensive than in other Chilean towns and this is understandable considering everything has to be shipped in. There are still reasonable places to eat but not all are allowed to serve alcohol so check if that is important for you. • The Valle de la Luna Moon Valley is an incredible first-day experience and one not to be missed. Close to San Pedro, the off-road parts of the reserve are easy to navigate and help you get started with driving in this area. Remember to always carry water with you as you walk around, it's amazing how quickly you can become thirsty.
