Target shooting the .30 M1 Carbine at a laser-measured 250 yards in a stiff 10-15 mph wind. Using iron sights, no scope. This rifle is a 1943 Inland/General Motors. I'm using AR500 steel targets from Mike Gibson Targets. Ammo is 110 grain FMJ from Prvi Partizan. • This open-sight shooting exhibition showed the accuracy potential of the M1 carbine at what many believe is at or beyond its effective range. However, it also showcased how the lower velocity of this round compared to newer cartridges (or .30-06 from an M1 Garand, for example) causes the bullet to drop like a rock. The comparative lower energy delivered at this distance was also notable. • This session was cleared with the property owners of a huge tract of land, surround by more large tracts of land. Backstops were confirmed. No cattle were harmed during the production of this video. • https://rumble.com/user/TNOUTDOORS9
