In this video you get a close look at the microscopic life of tardigrades. Tardigrades are amazing creatures and some of the smallest animals on the planet. To observe them you need to look through a microscope, which is exactly what I have done in this video. These tardigrades are from a common garden birdbath. The technique used for filming is called darkfield microscopy. This gives an incredible contrast due to the black background! • If you want to go tardigrade hunting yourself, here is a link to a fast, easy and consistent method: https://mymicroscopicworld.com/how-to... • If you want to help me make these videos you can now become a patron on: / mymicroscopicworld • For this video I used a light microscope (compound microscope) like this one: https://amzn.to/2Kchg3P (affiliate link) • For filming I used my iPhone with a LabCam adapter: https://amzn.to/2HKIBsk (affiliate link) • For more microscopy related material don’t forget to subscribe and feel free to check out http://mymicroscopicworld.com and: • Patreon: / mymicroscopicworld • Instagram: / my.microscopic.world • Facebook: http://fb.me/mymicroscopicworld • Twitter: / mymicroscopic • The music is made by the talented Derek Marquez: • YouTube: / @phantombeats1 • Soundcloud: / derek-marquez
