Headlight lenses come with a clear coat to help prevent this, but eventually, the coating wears off, and sunlight turns the hard plastic yellow or gives it a milky/cloudy appearance. Using a headlight restoration kit like the Turtle Wax Headlight Lens Restorer improves lens appearance and visibility for safer driving. • Designed to remove both light heavy oxidation and yellowing to improve headlight performance. • Saves money as there is no need to spend hundreds on new headlights. • Superior results without the need for a drill or a power tool. • New and improved kit has ceramic wipes for protection lasting up to one year. • Directions: • 1. Wash and dry headlights to be restored. • 2. Use masking tape to protect surround areas. • 3. Lightly shake the Headlight Lens Repair Renew compound. • 4. Apply the compound to a microfiber towel and spread product evenly over dull headlight surfaces with moderate pressure and slow back and forth motion for 30 seconds. Buff area dry with a dry microfiber towel. Repeat if necessary to achieve max clarity. If headlight is not evenly restored, proceed to sanding step. • 5. Sanding Step: use tap water to wet headlight and sanding pad. Use finger pressure on green pad #1 and rub side to side of dull or damaged areas for 30 seconds keeping pad surface wet with water. Flip over to #2 side and rub in the opposite direction and only on damaged area. Wipe lens with a dry microfiber towel. • 6. Reapply the compound for 30 seconds over the entire lens with more pressure on sanded areas. 7. Wipe dry. Repeat to achieve max lens clarity. Restore both headlights before applying Ceramic Acrylic Wipe. • 8. Open one Ceramic Acrylic Wipe wearing enclosed glove and apply quickly over both headlights using even back and forth strokes. Let headlights dry about 3 to 5 minutes.
