January 17th, 2015, Byzantine releases their first single THE AGONIES for their 5th album. Shot in a large warehouse in Charleston, WV called The Bakery, the band and crew braved a bone chilling shoot. The song, written about the pill addiction ravaging WV, would soar to #1 on Sirius XM Liquid Metal, holding the spot for over 5 week. Sadly, the topic of this song hit home as drummer Matt Wolfe would later succumb to the very same issues the band tackled in this song.
