Aquarium molly fish are pregnant and what should I do. These fish tanks are super addicting and especially when you keep mollies. This is my favorite food. The adults and babies will love this food and it’s high quality. • The Molly fish gets pregnant all the time and that isn't going to stop. These fish have the nickname known as the million fish. They are livebearers and this means they give birth to live bearing babies. And this video I talk a lot about what it Aquarium owner should expect when owning these fish as far as pregnancy and having your fish get pregnant. • Pregnant Molly Fish -    • Pregnant Molly Fish? How Long? Breedi...   • When I mentioned to my mom that I did a 50% WC today she was shocked. She said, “You should only do that every 6 months or so!” • I sent her an article about nitrates. Now I know why our fish died constantly growing up. Sighhhhhh, love you mom. My mom says she never did a water change. We had a dozen tanks at one point. She admits to vacuuming on occasion. And we didn't lose many. Can't believe it now but it happened. I'd never go more than a week without water change. • It would need to be a huge aquarium, goldfish release a lot of waste and grow quite large. You would need a large amount of plants to consume the ammonia/nitrates and a huge water volume to dilute them in the meantime. • The biggest hurdle in my opinion is that goldfish, unlike most freshwater fish, release a hormone that inhibits their own growth. This hormone is not really an issue in large ponds as it is diluted and breaks down before it can reach a concentration that affects fish growth. In aquariums you would need regular water changes anyway to get rid of it while also getting rid of their waste/nitrates. • As others have said, the bioload is too massive to be compatible with the delicate walstad ecosystem. The filtration capacity of the plants probably wouldn't be able to keep up with it, as it's quite limited. • The other problem with goldfish and Walstad is that they will probably nibble at your plants and mess with the work that the plants need to be doing to keep the water in good conditions.
