Thank you for watching. • You can follow my recipes on: • Youtube channel: / seemakeeat • Facebook page: / seemakeeat-108047180796224 • Twitter: https://twitter.com/SeeMakeEat2?s=09 • Please feel free to also join the Facebook group from here: • / 230483591613379 • You can contact me at: [email protected] • Note: I measure with a 200 ml glass, which equals 1 cup • Ingredients for the batter: ( 40 pieces ) • 2 cups flour • 1/2 cup fine semolina • 3 cups warm water • 1 teaspoon baking powder • 1/2 teaspoon dry yeast ( or ~ 8 g of fresh yeast ) • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda • 2 tablespoons sugar • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water ( if you don't have it, you can replace with orange flavor ) • Let the dough rest for 30 minutes and after has risen, whisk it for a few seconds. • Use a non stick pan over medium heat. • Keep in mind that the pan must be very well heated. • After you add the qatayef batter , set the heat at medium to low. • Each qatayef should have about 8 cm / 3 inch diameter. • Cook the qatayef until bubbles form all over the top and the batter dries off, and the bottom is golden brown. • Do not over flip them. • Once removed from the pan, put them on a plate covered with paper towel and cover them with a clean kitchen towel. • Do not stack them while they are hot • Ingredients for the syrup: • 2 cups water • 1 cup sugar • juice from 1/2 lemon • 1 tablespoon orange blossom water ( you can also replace with orange flavor ) • Put aside the orange blossom water. You will add it in the syrup when it's cold. • Boil the ingredients from above until half of the water evaporates. • Set aside to cool down completely. Add the orange blossom water. • Ingredients for the nuts filling: • 1/2 cup walnuts • 1/2 cup peanuts • 1/3 cup coconut flakes • 1/4 cup sultanas / raisins • 2 tablespoons sugar • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon • ~ 300-400 ml vegetable oil ( sunflower oil ) for frying the qatayef with nut filling. • Ingredients for the cream filling ( it may vary according to the number of pieces you want to fill with cream ): • 500 ml whipping cream • ( optional add 200 g cream cheese or mascarpone and 2 full tablespoons of powdered sugar ) • chopped peanuts and pistachios to dip in • Oreo crumbles • Nutella chocolate • • Good Appetite! • Music by: www.bensound.com
