Pelvic Floor Disorders can include conditions such as urinary or fecal incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. The risk factors that contibute to the development of these conditions can include non-modifiable factors, such as genetics, but also many modifiable factors that can be affected based on our lifestyles and choices. One of the biggest recommendations to help prevent pelvic floor disorders is to seek out pelvic floor physical therapy, especially after pregnancy and giving birth.
