New gear Guys! • • This time it's the BCB Crusader Cooker, Cup Canteen and NATO Waterbottle Mug - an incredible British Bushcraft import! • • I got mine here in the States from Best Glide Aviation Survival Equipment - http://www.bestglide.com • • Saw this for the first time on YouTube at wall2rockclimber's (Stoneage Bushman) channel. • • It's an all-in-one pot, mug, water bottle and stove, that can burn solid, gel and alcohol fuels. • • To carry a combo piece of gear with multi-fuel capabilities sold me immediately. • • And of course no piece of gear is complete without some DIY modification - in this video you'll see I added a wick to the cooker. • • Others burn alcohol in their Crusader Cookers (similar to the tea-light method) but I found (from Hiram Cook's YouTube channel) that using a vertical wick creates more burning surfaces (than the alcohol flame just floating on top of the pool). • • The wick material I used is a fiberglass woodstove gasket. As long as there is fuel to burn the fiberglass wick material remains. • • This BCB Crusader Cooker, Cup Canteen and NATO Waterbottle Mug is a winning combination!
