After this devastating loss, her husband succumbed to alcoholism, drinking himself to death by the age of 60. • She was left all alone, the people of town felt sorry for her and some decided to gift her dolls, this took over her life as she grew attached to them and collected dozens of them until her whole house was covered! • Manuela lived here for four more decades, was remembered as a lovely lady by all who knew her, and reached the remarkable age of 104. When she passed away in 2014, her house was already falling apart around her.
