Truckee eMTB Upper Big Chief Santa Cruz Bullit

What an epic weekend of riding! This was my second time tackling the Upper Big Chief Trail, and I have to say, it's tailor-made for e-bikes. Last year, we rode it on our regular bikes, and the climb felt brutal—a long, fire road ascent. But this time, with our e-bikes, the climb took a fraction of the time and left us fresh for the descent. • Upper Big Chief is a black diamond single-track trail with technical rocky sections. On my first ride, the rock rolls seemed bigger and more challenging. However, the extra travel and weight of the Santa Cruz Bullit made a huge difference this time. The bike felt more planted, and the added travel smoothed out the rocky terrain beautifully. • Stay tuned, as I'll be posting the lower section in the coming weeks!
