Clarence the Caribou was a young (female) caribou that wondered into Buchans Newfoundland in the late 1980's. She went on to become a town treasure. Wayne Rostad, who hosted a show on CBC called On the Road Again visited Buchans in August 1988 and captured the memory...it was a great piece. • Wayne Rostad also wrote a song about Buchans' experience with Clarence - it is available off his website http://www.myspace.com/waynerostad
