This video shows you how to upgrade and downgrade your tablet from android 4.12 to android 4.2.2 and vice versa. • • From fellow user Kwame Flage :) Thank You! • ******************************************************************************************************* • If stuck on Samsung blue wheel spinning screen : • Unplug Tablet. • Hold Power and Vol Down • Release Power when SAMSUNG tablet logo appears. • When you see the robot, release vol down. • Use vol down to scroll to cache wipe and hit power to initiate. It'll take you back to the same screen. • Use vol down to scroll to wipe memory and hit power to initiate. • scroll down to yes and hit power. • Use vol down to scroll to reboot and hit power. • It will start over to when you first bought your tablet. Congratulations you have rebooted • ***************************************************************************************************** • Steps For a Mac from a fellow commenter (Daniel Robinson) : • --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • I successfully did this on Mac. I'll explain what I did, but firstly: I'm just a regular man here, I don't understand what I'm doing exactly, so I don't really know the risks or reasons for what I did. All the stuff with the pit files, I really don't understand that at all. • I downloaded JOdin3. It looks much like Odin in this video. I went through the steps in this video but when I pressed 'start' it said it needed a pit file. It said it could create one but then it failed. I then went into a program called Heimdall. I went to Utilities and then (with my tablet still connected and in download mode) clicked 'detect' and then when it said 'device detected' I selected 'save as...' in the PIT section (name it whatever you want). This then created a pit file. I then loaded this in JOdin3 and it accepted it and I went through the rest of the steps in this video and it all went fine. • Some notes: it took about five minutes before I saw the 'PASS' message and my tablet hung at the 'samsung' screen for a while and so I did a 'wipe data/factory reset' before it rebooted successfully (no problem for me but for others maybe a good reminder to backup first). It's also possible that you need to have Klies installed on your computer for Heimdall to detect your tablet. And lastly, I'm in Australia and for my tablet it was the reverse volume button you had to press to get into 'download mode.' I read somewhere that some tablets varied like that. The button combination in this video took me to the factory reset/etc screen. • Thanks a whole lot to the person who created this video, also. It was incredibly helpful. Once I figured out what programs would work on Mac (an annoying few hours of searching, including an hour trying to do it all in Heimdall, that's why I figured I should make this post for other Mac users), everything went pretty easy by following your directions. • ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • My tab 2 10.1 Android 4.2.2 review: • Official android 4.2.2 update for the... • Downloads: • SIGN UP FOR SAM MOBILE FIRST TO DOWNLOAD...
