The Capture Bead Assay, or CBA, is an assay that allows researchers to measure multiple soluble proteins at one time by flow cytometry without the need to perform multiple ELISA Assays… (Read more below.) • • Click here to get our FREE ebook, Modern Flow Cytometry: http://www.expertcytometry.com/ebook • • The CBA assay relies on a barcoded capture bead. Each bead has a specific amount of fluorochrome(s) in it, so that when measured by flow cytometry, it will appear in a specific position. Knowing the position and the specific analyte measured on the bead allows for quantification. • • A second fluorescently-labeled antibody binds to the analyte attached to the corresponding bead. Reading that fluorescence and correlating it to a standard curve allows for quantification of the analyte. • • Click here to get our FREE ebook, Modern Flow Cytometry: http://www.expertcytometry.com/ebook
