The screwball is considered an easy pitch for softball pitchers to learn. However, that doesn’t lessen the importance of a proper grip and snap. • • For your screwball, there are two options with your grip. The first is a four-seam option. Here you will look for an upside down “C” and place as many fingers on the seam as possible. With your two-seam grip, you want to look for parallel vertical seams. Your index finger will be the last finger on the ball before you release the pitch. • • When snapping a screwball, it will release off the side of your body. The goal is to push hard against your index finger and ‘screw’ the ball outward. • • LEARN MORE • Get expert advice on softball with DICK’S Pro Tips: • https://protips.dickssportinggoods.co... • • PRODUCTS • Shop DICK’S Sporting Goods for your [insert sport name] gear. • Softball Gloves: https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/f/... • Softball Training Equipment Aids: https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/c/... • Softballs: https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/f/... • • SUBSCRIBE • Make sure to subscribe to get notified when new videos are uploaded: / dickssportinggoods • • SOFTBALL PLAYLIST • Liked this video?
