ROWING TECHNIQUE: Does your damper need to be at 10 to get a good workout on the Concept2 Indoor Rower or a winning time at the CRASH-Bs? • Under certain circumstances, rowing at a high damper can be useful, mostly for working on connecting power and really using your legs on the drive. That is only recommended at very low stroke rating, however. • Rowing at a damper of 10 is like slogging through sand, picking up a near-dead flywheel every stroke. Your rowing technique needs to be dialed in to make it work, too. • UCanRow2's Terry Smythe, a Concept2 master instructor, gives you the details and a much more effective damper setting in this clip from a UCanRow2 instructor certification. • Want workouts, playlists and exclusive content?
