This video shows how to clone and upgrade Hard Disk Drive (HDD) or Solid State Drive (SSD) to Higher Capacity SSD in Thinkpad T420s laptop • • ITEMS USED: • *Crucial 500GB 2.5 inch Solid State Drive, • CT500MX500SSD1, https://amzn.to/2WvAbeX • *Data Transfer Cable to Clone Existing Hard Drive or SSD • Sabrent USB 3.0 Adapter, https://amzn.to/37zu3J1 • *Small Philips screw driver for laptop's HDD /SSD cover • STEP BY STEP: • 1) Visit www.crucial.com and click on 'support' option • 2) Under 'Solid State Drive' chose 'Easy SSD install guide • 3) Connect data transfer cable to new SSD and laptop • 4) Visit Crucial.com/clone and install cloning software • 5) Launch cloning software 'Acronis True Image' • 6) In cloning program, identify source destination drive • 7) Complete cloning of existing drive to new SSD • 8) Power off laptop, remove AC power cable • 9) Open laptop's SSD cover, remove existing SSD • 10) Install glides on new SSD and install it in laptop • 11) Power up laptop to verify that new SSD works • DISCLAIMER: • The description may contain affiliate links.
