The BlackVue X Series dashcams (DR970X Plus, DR970X Box Plus, DR970X LTE Plus, DR970X, DR900X, DR900X Plus, DR770X, DR770X Box, DR750X, DR750X Plus, DR590X Series) allow you to hardwire your BlackVue to the fuse panel of your vehicle. • IMPORTANT: exert extra caution when performing any electrical installation on your vehicle. In doubt, consult a professional installer. • Your BlackVue then monitors your vehicle's battery voltage to stop powering the camera when reaching the preset cutoff value. • You can set both voltage cutoff and timer by connecting to your dashcam with the BlackVue app. • In this video, we show you how to hardwire your BlackVue using fuse taps (optional accessories). • Note: the use of fuse taps is not required. However, we recommend using fuse taps for a cleaner and safer installation. • Fuse taps are common accessories that can help you easily hardwire electronic devices to your vehicle's fuse box. • **IMPORTANT** • Fuse taps should be installed in a specific way. To make sure the dashcam is hardwired correctly, we recommend performing a test WITHOUT the vehicle's fuse (in other words, with only the top fuse inserted). If the dashcam gets powered, it means it is installed the correct way. You can then remove the fuse taps, insert the original fuses from your vehicle's fuse panel, then insert the fuse taps again the same way. • You can find fuse taps in the BlackVue Shop: https://blackvue.com/fuse-taps • If you wish to buy fuse taps elsewhere, note that we recommend using 3A fuses in the top slot (the bottom slot of the fuse taps hosts your vehicle's fuse).
