Modern technologies used in logistics systems and processes enable users to dramatically improve the efficiency of storage, handling, preparation and dispatch of all types of goods. • Stacker cranes also known as ASRS (Automated Storage Retrieval Systems), are machines designed for the automated storage of pallets. They travel along the aisles of the warehouse, carrying out the storage, placement and retrieval of goods. The performance of a stacker crane is defined as the number of transactions the crane is able to execute, with a transaction understood here as storing a load in, or retrieving a load, from a rack. A stacker crane may operate in two modes: • -single (simple) cycle, where a crane exclusively stores a load unit in a rack or exclusively retrieves a load unit from a rack • -double (combined) cycle, where, upon storing a load unit in a rack, a crane retrieves another load from the rack and transports it to the collection zone. • This 3D animation represents a combined cycle for a stacker crane serving a double deep rack. • We are specialists in automating facilities warehouses.
