Controlling humidity inside a cold storage or freezer room is possible with precision. • Humidity is important for the storage of medicines, meat, fruits, vegetables, chocolates etc. Generally, a cold storage unit above Zero Deg Centigrade will have high humidity since it absorbs moisture from outside air during door openings. The humidity may go above 90% RH depending on the humidity levels out of the cold room, frequency of door openings etc. • The humidity inside a walk-in chiller room increases as soon as we open the doors. However a freezer room below Zero Deg Centigrade will have a very low humidity since the moisture freezes at this temperature. We supply our low-cost Vac-Kool cold storages with humidity control for all applications above zero degrees centigrade. Our low-cost walk-in cold rooms save up to 40% electricity and also are up to 40% cheaper than conventional units. • These can also work in remote areas using small generators or solar panels. The humidity level is measured as percentage of Relative humidity (%RH). We can reduce the humidity levels up to 40% RH based on your needs. Normally a humidity level of 60% RH is maintained for storage of medicine, 50% for Onions etc. We incorporate desiccant type dehumidifiers to reduce the humidity in walk-in chillers. Dehumidifiers are used for reducing the humidity levels. Based on the required temperature, we will calculate the required capacity of the dehumidification system. • There are two types of dehumidifiers viz. desiccant type and condensation type. • The condensation type is generally not suitable for temperatures below 10 Deg centigrade. In special cases, we can supply condensation dehumidifiers with heating coils for these applications. • However desiccant type is the best suited for applications below 10 Deg Centigrade. • Please subscribe to our videos for videos on cold storages, humidity control, temperature control, temperature humidity recording and alert systems etc. • A desiccant dehumidifier has an air inlet which will draw air from the cold room. Then it processes this moist air and separates into dry air and wet air. The wet air will be thrown out of the cold room. This is the process of reducing the humidity in a cold storage room. For a condensation type dehumidifier, the moisture is converted into water and drained out of the room. • In freezer rooms, we have to increase the humidity. We use humidifiers for this purpose. A humidifier converts water into moisture particles and distributes in the freezer room. Based on the size of the room, we may have to install pipes to distribute moisture uniformly. • In all these cases, we need to know the details about your required chiller or freezer units. We mainly need the size of the room, the required temperature and the type of items stores. Based on this, we will supply and install the complete system with humidity control. • If you want to store medicines or vaccines, we also carry out temperature mapping study as per international regulations. • We also supply temperature and humidity recording and alert systems, temperature mapping study for medicine storage, temperature recorders, humidity control solutions for warehouses etc. • For more details, please contact your nearest office of VackerGlobal by sending an email to [email protected].
