This read aloud video is a book about the life and times of world renowned Grammy award winning singer, songwriter, and father of the blues, McKinley Morganfield, professionally known to the world as Muddy Waters. Not only does this dynamic book tell the story about the humble beginnings of blues legend Muddy Waters, it also introduces us all to the experiences of African Americans living in the southern states of the United States during the 1950's, the movement of African Americans to urban areas into the northern states, known as The Great Migration and the struggles and tribulations of African American songwriters during that time who did not receive credit, compensation or recognition for their musical contributions. Understanding the culture of an art form takes us into a deeper level of education that children and people of all ages can benefit from. • Written by Michael Mahin, Illustrated by Evan Turk. Narrated by background music produced by Mr. Mosley the Music Teacher. • #muddywaters #muddywatersreadaloud #remotelearning #blackhistorybookofthemonth #blackhistorymonth • All copyrighted material is owned solely by the copyright holder.
