The Ambulance Service has been the first point of emergency medical care in London for over 100 years. Formed over 50 years before the NHS, the 5,000 staff of the London Ambulance Service touches the lives of over seven million Londoners across the capital each year, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. • • Peter Bradley, Chief Executive of the London Ambulance Service, gives this free public lecture to explain what the Service does for Londoners during the night when most of us are sound asleep. • • The transcript and downloadable versions of the lecture are available from the Gresham College website: • http://www.gresham.ac.uk/lectures-and... • • Gresham College has been giving free public lectures since 1597. This tradition continues today with all of our five or so public lectures a week being made available for free download from our website. • http://www.gresham.ac.uk
