PDA media is the potato dextrose agar media which is use for the fungal growth in the lab. For the preparation of PDA media we need 200g Potato extract or Potato Influsion, 20g dextrose and 15g Agar. Agar is use for solidification. We take 1000ml distalled water and mix with short pieces of peeled potato and water for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes pure the potato influsion on an other beaker with help of cheese cloth and than mix all the ingredients mean potato extract, dextrose and agar and keep for some time for cool.
