This is Turnaware Point down here in Cornwal has a famous history but little known about. • Over 40000 American Troops embarked from here heading to Omaha beach in Normandy. Roads were closed in the area and loading pontoons were put out into the water. • A road was build called Yankee road still in use today • #cornwall • #ww2history • #dday
