The German Society for the Rescue of Shipwrecked People (DGzRS) is on duty all year round in all weather conditions. The sea rescuers set off for the North and Baltic Seas from 54 stations. Many owe them help and sometimes even life. The missions can also be dangerous for the helpers themselves - hurricane gusts and huge waves are sometimes daily business for the crews.
