We celebrate cooking show star Siba Mtongana with a delicious feast. • This dinner was a celebration of the cover and of the star of cooking show ‘Siba’s Table’ now broadcast in more than a hundred and thirty countries. In America alone, she’s seen by sixty million homes and getting her on the Destiny Magazine cover was a scoop for Khanyi Dhlomo. • Siba has a degree in Food and Consumer Sciences with Majors in Food, Food Science and Nutrition, making all that she says on her show, very well informed. We joined the fantastic cover girl and her family for an escape to the world renowned gardens at Babylonstoren and for a signature Siba lunch. • Involved with food from childhood, her entrepreneurial streak began with selling hot dog and cupcakes at school. At varsity she baked goods to sell at the res tuck shop. An enterprising spirit that’s brought the young girl from Mdantsane a long way. • Looking after the children while Siba sourced her ingredients was her husband Brian Mtongana. They began dating at 18 and have been together ever since.
