In addition to Meghalaya in India, Garora lives in Kamrup, Assam, Goalpara and Karbi Anglong districts of Bangladesh and Tangail, Sylhet, Sherpur, Jamalpur, Netrokona, Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, Dhaka and Gazipur districts in addition to Mymensingh in Bangladesh. • According to the Garora language, Bodo is a Mongolian language group. During the month of Ashwin, the festival was held for seven days or three days depending on the capacity of the people of each village. In the past, everyone in Garra used to practice their own religion. The name of their original religion is 'Sangsarek'. Since adopting Christianity in 12, currently only 1 percent of Garrora are converts to Christianity. Since the adoption of Christianity, their social norms and practices have changed drastically. • The chief deity of the Garod is Tatara Rabuga. Other gods are Missi Salzong, Tsumi, Goara. Susime is the goddess of wealth treasure and Chandra is the representative of this goddess. Goera is the name of the god of the power of the Garudas. Garud believes that Kal Kame controls life. • Eating • Bangladeshi Garora eats poultry, cows, goats and pigs. Alcohol is one of their drinks. At present Garrora is getting ahead in education and employment. Besides their own culture, they also love to eat Bengali food. Garrod's most favorite food is Nakhm Curry.
