LMAO!!!!! well, it's Halloween and the season for Castlevania, which I love with my whole being, and moreover it's BLOODY TEARS, a video game theme as iconic as the Super Mario Bros main theme and Dr. Wily Stage 1 that the only thing I can apologize for is not having a cover of this on my channel sooner. I'd actually been working on this one since April and meant to to get it out like months ago but got sidetracked as usual aahhghhfg. Better late than never lol!!! • Anyways, this is a solo piano version i wrote based on the version by kaede, which is phenomenal and to me the most definitive cover of Bloody Tears like ever: • Bloody tears CastleVania Cover • I have loved Castlevania ever since I was a child and especially Simon's Quest. It was the first time I ever saw a day/night cycle in a game and the RPG elements were super cool and when I saw that flame whip for the first time I was like OMG WOWOWOWWOWOW and the music, like all Castlevania games, was just SO GOOD. SO GOOD!!! Bloody Tears was one of the first vgm themes I tried to pick out on the piano as a ten year old with only three years of piano lessons under my belt; so it's special to me. I mean, when I heard it played during Season 2 of the Netflix Castlevania series, I legit cried. • kaede's version is actually based on the Judgement version, not the original from Simon's Quest, but it works really well as an extended arrangement of Bloody Tears because the Simon's Quest version is so short, and I love those extra sections in there. I transcribed kaede's blazing guitar and the corresponding violin and piano solos but had to retool some things for playability, but it still ended up being quite virtuosic and a doozy to actually play OTL and required a lot of practice argh but i wouldn't have it any other way.
