Stamen is the male reproductive part and pistil is the female reproductive part. Stamen has a stalk like structure called filament and anther. Anther contains the pollen grains which are the male gametes. Pistil contains the ovary, style and stigma. The ovary contains ovules. The egg which is the female gamete is formed in the ovule. Sexual reproduction in plants also involves the fusion of male and female gametes to form a zygote.
