Often when discussing fighting games on the Sega Saturn, you get the topics, 2D, Capcom, SNK, or Japanese exclusive. Sega's own fighting games are often overlooked completely. Here we take a look at those fighting games that Sega themselves brought to the Saturn. • I'm now on Patreon! It's somewhere in my gameroom. • I am a big fan of the Virtua Fighter style gameplay. I always preferred the more realistic moves over the flashier fighting games like Tekken and Toshinden. • Opening SEEEGAAAA from Astal for the Saturn. • Ending credits music is from Batman for the Genesis. • Pepsi Man is only available in the Japanese version of Fighting Vipers. • The big box version of Virtua Fighter Remix was extremely rare in the US. I only saw it once during the Saturn's life, and that was at Incredible Universe. • The Japanese versions of these games really are inexpensive. Many can be regularly gotten for little more than $10. • In the Virtua Fighter section I mention Toshinden. My wording made it sound as if the game was from Sony. It's actually from a company called Tamsoft and published by Takara. It was often used in the early 32-bit days to represent the Playstation when comparing it to the Saturn, hence my reference.
