My name’s Damian. I’m a bartender here at Liquid Kitty in West LA California. And we’re gonna talk a little bit about the Midori Sour today. The Midori sour was developed in Japan actually. Santori corporation made a liquid drink called midori and it was made in Japan, France and Canada. And it kind of moved it’s way to the US and manufactured here as well as overseas. The Midori that’s made here is a little less sweet than the stuff in Japan. The reason the drink was developed was to make, to cut a little bit of the sweetness out of the Midori with a sour mix. So it’s a really simple drink. We’ll take a rocks glass, fill it with ice. Take our Midori to about an ounce and a half of Midori. • [1 ½ oz of Midori] • [Midori is japanese for green. The emerald green found in japanese nature is where MIDORI was born.] • About equal part of sweet and sour. [1 ½ oz of sweet sour] • And I like to put a dash of OJ in all my sours. [Splash of orange juice] • More ice in there. There’s that kind of neon, green hue to it. Shake it up and as with all out sour drinks, we have an orange, a rather large orange, and a cherry and that’s your Midori Sour.
