How to Make Traditional New Mexican Green Chile Sauce

Also, subscribe so you never miss one of my recipes. • LET'S KEEP IN TOUCH!! • Blog: https://redorgreen10.blogspot.com/... • Social Media Links: https://linktr.ee/redorgreen • ______________________________________________________________________ • Green Chile Sauce • 2 Tablespoons flour • 2 Tablespoons canola oil or vegetable oil • 2 cups chopped green chile • ¼ cup chopped onion • ½ cup finely diced tomatoes • 2 cups water • ½ -teaspoon garlic powder or 1 clove fresh, minced • 1-Teaspoon kosher salt • Heat oil in medium size saucepan on medium to low heat. When the oil is hot, add flour and stir constantly so it does not burn. Cook for approximately one minute and then add onions and cook for another minute, stirring constantly; Add chopped green chile, continue to stir consistently. After another minute, add cold water slowly; add tomatoes, garlic and salt. Once the sauce begins to boil, turn the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
