The Stepping into Nature project, which is led by the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Partnership, commissioned Ben Ingram to celebrate and showcase naturally beautiful places in Dorset. • In this video we showcase Colmers Hill, near Bridport, an iconic hill in West Dorset, recognisable for its conical shape with a tuft of trees at the top. Owned by the local Colfox family, Colmer’s Hill has been part of the Symondsbury Estate for over one hundred years and is open to the public with a permissive path to the top. • The pine trees were first added by woodmen to the Colfox family and has since been added to with Monteray Pine. It is these that give the hill the iconic silhouette that is so loved by photographers and walkers. • There’s lots to do at Symondsbury Estate – walking with great views guaranteed and a courtyard cafe for refreshments afterwards. • Everything you need to know for a visit can be found here: https://www.dorsetaonb.org.uk/locatio... • We will add to this playlist as more videos get created.
