However, I don't think this red dot belongs on a handgun... • Vortex is a great brand that brings a good balance of affordability and quality to the optics market. And their warranty is unrivaled in the optics world. The Venom is one of their mini reflex offerings that uses the Docter/Noblex optic footprint. It's budget friendly and extremely popular (mostly due to the lack of competition with that optics footprint). But, one of the main uses for this red dot sight is to mount it on pistols. And after a decent amount of testing and evaluation, I can say for me personally, this sight belongs on a rifle or shotgun. But not a pistol.
