Vielen Dank! • I've had a brief chat with my good friend Ed (who also has one of these little wonderful machines) about how the laser marks anodised aluminium. Well, with the equipment around, there was only one way to go - science it out! I did a couple of parameter tests (VIS vs IR laser, full power, 2 different speeds, 1-10 passes) and then took a closer look at the surfaces in our SEM, and about the laser depth and surface roughness in our confocal microscope.
