It’s part book and part workbook, with advice for young people. The book is presented in a way that is easy for both young people and teens to engage in. It is written by someone who clearly understands how this age range thinks and works. • I liked the colour and interactive elements. By making it interactive, it allows them to have a reason to become invested in what the book is trying to teach. The activities in here are also calming and will allow them to feel of important. Feeling heard and important is one of the most important things that a book can offer this age group. • The way the information is presented in a way that speaks to young people. It doesn’t speak down to them. It's almost like it understands and remembers what it was like to be a teenager in this day and age. It gives them a place to express themselves in a place that is just for them. It’s safe, yet, allows them to feel like they are a talking to someone. It’s like you are getting a note from a friend without your friend actually being there. • Overall, I think why this book stood out to me was the fact that it was very clearly written with an age group in mind.
