Recently I attended a Latin Mass for the first time, and many of you responded that I should really try a Novus Ordo because it would be easier to understand. Additionally, many of you pointed out that Low Latin Masses are very different than High Latin Masses, and if I wanted to really get the full experience, I should try a High Mass. Well, I did both of these things! • On Sunday, August 30th, I attended the Latin Mass (Extraordinary Form, High) at the beautiful St. John of Cantius Church in Chicago, Illinois. Thanks to the incredible hospitality of many people in the church who had watched my videos, I was provided with a missal and a tour guide who kindly explained the parts of the mass as well as the significance of every part of the church. It was truly an incredible experience, and I hope to share some more of that with you soon. • Additionally, on that same evening, I attended a Novus Ordo mass at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago, Illinois. This was my first time going to a Novus Ordo mass, and as a Protestant it felt much more familiar. • In this video I compare and contrast the two mass types through Protestant eyes and share my thoughts on mass. One thing I learned is that the mass is saturated in Scripture, and there is intentionality in every detail. My hope is that this video will inspire fruitful, healthy dialogue between Protestants and Catholics so that we can work with one another rather than fighting against one another. • Support this Channel: • Patreon: / gospelsimplicity • Buy Merch: http://teespring.com/stores/gospelsim... • About me: • Hey!
