Very little material is sucked into the vacuum eliminating the need to worry about filter changes. The vacuum helps pull the digger down into the ground with over 60 pounds of force. When the core tool is filled tight, the plug is lifted out of the hole. The vacuum is then shifted to blower to expel the plug. The hardened teeth, made specifically for clay and tree roots, still cut through a sandstone rock in this video. This digger was specifically designed for hard, uniform soils.
