I was pretty excited because this is Australia's first fully automated rail system AND i've never been on a completely new metro before so i was keen to go see what it's all about. • On it's opening day, everyone gets to ride the sydney metro for free (otherwise $2.70 given it's a Sunday), and boy, there were so many people. Like literally swarms of people crowded at Chatswood station. I essentially did 4 trips: Epping to Chatswood (return) and Epping to Castle Hill (return). • I'd boarded the train at Epping station at around 1:08PM to get to Chatswood, with the intention of doing the full metro route to Tallawong. The train got delayed at Macquarie Uni Macquarie Park stations, before arriving at Chatswood at 1:53PM. When i'd gotten to chatswood the crowd was way too huge. I wasn't able to get to the platform from within the station (it was all fenced off), so i decided to wait a bit before trying on the Chatswood to Tallawong train again. • Hope you enjoy my review of the Sydney Metro - interesting to see how they'd do during peak hour though. • EDIT (27 May 2019): • While there were technical glitches, the sydney metro passed it's first weekday peak pressure test and the sentiment was overall positive. • • ABOUT ME: • I'm a millennial who quit my corporate job in banking finance in December 2018 to live life the way I want, everyday. I knew something wasn’t right when days all started to blur together and nothing stood out. • I want to see different places. I want to experience new things. I want to meet new people. I want to do something for the first time again. • This is the beginning of my journey to doing that, and to figuring out how I can generate income that will allow me to live life my way, every day. • INSTAGRAM: @itsjanicefung   / itsjanicefung   • TWITTER: @itsjanicefung   / itsjanicefung   • PATREON:   / janicefung   • -- • GEAR: • Main Camera: • Amazon US: https://amzn.to/2G1fMIu • Amazon Australia: https://amzn.to/2FYvnIM • Wide Angle Lens: • Amazon US: https://amzn.to/2GcPxOA • Amazon Australia: https://amzn.to/2G0CLn1 • Mic: • Amazon US: https://amzn.to/2MI6HVr • Amazon Australia: https://amzn.to/2FZeLRh • My Fav Point Shoot: • Amazon US: https://amzn.to/2GiDXBF • Amazon Australia: https://amzn.to/2FZXpDG • Memory Card: • Amazon US: https://amzn.to/2Wtx9GO • Amazon Australia: https://amzn.to/2G06bBA • JOBY GorillaPod (bendy tripod): • Amazon US: https://amzn.to/2TtGqwR • AmAzon Australia: https://amzn.to/2HIt12q • • Quote from the Sydney Metro website: • https://www.sydneymetro.info/about • Sydney Metro offers a new generation of fast, safe and reliable train services.
