Lorn – Acid Rain 5× slowed down Music Video and audio

Inspired by this video • Lorn - Acid Rain (600% slower + perso... and one of its top comments, requesting a slow-motion Music Video, I decided to try and create one. • For stretching the audio I used Audacity with the Paulstretch filter (Stretching factor 5, Time resolution 0.25 s). • For the video I used ffmpeg with the minterpolate filter (minterpolate=fps=120/1.001:mi_mode=mci:mc_mode=aobmc:me_mode=bidir:vsbmc=1,setpts=5*PTS) • • Sadly, slowing down a video by a factor of five is not a very easy task and with a classic algorithm (like the one ffmpeg’s minterpolate uses) you will get heavy artifacts as you can see in the video. A possible solution is to create a neural model that can predict the motion better.
