In this Chemistry video lecture in Hindi for class 11 we explained the law of multiple proportion by John Dalton. It is one of the laws of chemical combination. • Law of multiple proportions states that when two elements combine with each other to form more than one compound, the weights of one element that combine with a fixed weight of the other are in a ratio of small whole numbers. • e.g., hydrogen and oxygen combine to each other forming water or hydrogen peroxide. 2 gram of hydrogen reacts with 16 gram of oxygen forming 18 gram of water. Whereas, 2 gram of hydrogen reacts with 32 gram of oxygen forming 34 gram of hydrogen peroxide. Here, weight of hydrogen in both the samples is same and the weight of oxygen in both the samples are in the ratio of small whole numbers, i.e., 1 : 2. • 🔴 Full playlist on Chapter 1 of Chemistry : 'Some Basic Concepts in Chemistry' for Class 11 : • • Some Basic Concepts in Chemistry • Other related videos : • LAW of CONSERVATION of MASS in CHEMICAL COMBINATION • • LAW of CONSERVATION of MASS in CHEMIC... • LAW of DEFINITE PROPORTIONS in CHEMICAL COMBINATION by Joseph Proust • • LAW of DEFINITE PROPORTIONS in CHEMIC...
