Even as Kerala was fighting the twin battle of heavy rainfall during a global pandemic, it suffered another blow as a landslide hit Kerala's Idukki district on August 6. A hillock on the tea plantation at Pettimudi in Rajamala ward, in Munnar, fell, burying the estate's quarters, where the workers of Kanan Devan Hills Plantations company were living.
